Who am I?

The last weekend on 17-18 March at the ICF India Coaching Conclave 2023 I donned many a hat.

Playing the various parts of emcee participant, felicitator, learner, organizer, volunteer, board member (Director - Marketing & Partnerships ICF Delhi NCR Charter Chapter), colleague, friend and a coach got me to think the quintessential question raised by Ramana Maharishi of 'Who am I'?

A few insights from the amazing speakers and participants at the conclave helped me answer the question.

I am a Coach, beautifully defined by Haesun [hey-sun] Moon - We get our clients to curate and not narrate their preferred stories about their purpose, possibilities, preferences and progress.

I am a fan of Nathan SV whose #OfficeTruths came alive in person as I introduced him to speak on the topic Coaching in Today's World. A great storyteller, he stressed on the realizations which he and people had when being coached and how it helped him in his professional and personal life.

I am a learner as I heard the wisdom of Neerja Pande as she talked about developing our listening skills by reading classical literature.

I am a performer, an orator, writer, emcee, director as I weaved the content for the Conclave website, press release and the performance with mime artist Radha Kant Jaiswal and Koushik Chatterjee.

I am inspired by the examples of leadership coaching in the Indian corporate landscape as shared by various panel members from Virtusa, Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd., CK Birla Group amongst others.

I am analytical as I soaked in the understanding of Jonathan Passmore on the subject of ROI and his energy to use new tool like ChatGPT AI Version 4 to compare his presentation with an AI version.

I am responsible as part of the board ICF Delhi NCR Charter Chapter and worked with my team Dr. Badri BajajCoach Sisodia (ICF-PCC)Surekha PoddarRadha Kant Jaiswal, Kanika KohliAmit Kumar, Kirti Sen and congratulate them for a successful conclave.

I am a participant as I listened to the wisdom of Jeffrey Hull, Ph.D. BCC and the questions he likes to ask to his coaching clients.

As human beings, we don many hats.
