In my earlier role in Godrej Consumer Products Limited, I went up to my then manager Sameer Shah to complain, why I was not getting an opportunity which I had the potential to deliver on.

He asked me to sit, relax and listened patiently.

As he coached me, not by telling but reflecting, I found out my answers and the next steps that I could commit to.

Grateful to a manager like him, whose leadership style I could see and learn from. But I am more grateful for his coaching approach which allowed me to develop my own unique style.
