Add 4 As to meet your objectives - Awareness, Acceptance, Action, Accountability

I am working on creating experiential courses which allow people to do prescribed things at their own pace and learn alongside. This one objective could have moved at a faster pace.

Even though I had sufficient time at my disposal, I wasn’t devoting time to the above activity and at the same time felt that I was not utilizing my potential.

It made me question myself as to whether I really wanted to do it.

Following are the insights and learning from my own coaching session which allowed me to bring back focus to meet my objectives.

Be aware of what works for you. I like consistent jobs instead of projects as my energy drops moving from one project to the other. While on a project with clear timelines, I am able to move consistently. What can I do in the pauses in between projects to keep my energy high?

Awareness about oneself and why one operates in a particular way is itself the starting point.

Accept to trick the mind. I started changing the expectation in my mind about the outcome as my own expectation to do the project was making me negative when the outcome didn’t happen within the stated timeline. What can I do to stay positive and enthusiastic?

What comes of itself let it come.

Put consistent energy and be self accountable. Try to put the focus working hard and being in the moment rather than looking at outcomes or getting into comparisons.

An announcement about the target helps me to strengthen the commitment to the task at hand. What can I do to have continued inspiration to achieve my goal?

Being conscious of one’s own way of working makes it easier to execute and achieve your goals.

If you feel you are not meeting your own potential, you may just be in the need of a leadership coaching session with me.
