I have been in the world of Coaching for about 4 months where I have been actively trying to get clients.
The other day when I was confiding to a friend about my business growth, I relayed that a few of the clients don’t want to be known as having a Coach; probably because it makes them look weak or fragile or some other reason for which they don’t feel like sharing.
A few of my clients who also have a therapist are even more closed in terms of expressing this aspect of life of mental health with the world.
When my clients say these things, I totally accept their choice without any judgment and hold that in confidence, but as I think of it now, I feel a lot of energy is blocked because of non acceptance or non expression of their mental health.
Aspects of the physical health of a person are hard to hide, while those of the mental health are deliberately hidden and even conditioned by the society to be put under the carpet.
Left unaddressed, they pile up and take worse forms and move us from the most important desires of our lives – peace and happiness.
What would happen if you accept without judgment your own challenges with mental health or of those who express it to you?
Would you feel better if you voice them out to friends and family without caring what anyone would say?
